A few weeks ago I shared a story saying I was finally making myself a pair of marshmallow pink Sorrentos.

Then @jessiebella3 messaged me from hospital.

She’d just been through treatment for bowel cancer.

There was no hesitation. They became hers instead. 🫶🏼

One of the things I love most about running a small business is that there are no board meetings or approval processes. Sometimes it’s simply a conversation between two women, and a pair of shoes made with care.

Jessie, thank you for letting me be a tiny part of your journey. I hope these make you smile every time you wear them. 🤍

It’s moments like these that remind me Woven Palm has always been about more than shoes.

I’ve always believed the best accessories aren’t the loudest ones.
They’re the pieces that quietly pull an outfit together.

A white tee.
A knit.
A blazer.
A denim jacket.

Tie it around your neck, your hair or your bag, and suddenly the whole outfit feels considered.

Buying less only works when the pieces you own can be worn a hundred different ways.

That’s exactly why I designed this one. 🤍

Ten years ago I thought I was just making shoes, but
looking back, I was building a life.

A studio where my son grew up playing amongst leather offcuts.

A place where ideas became patterns, and patterns became pieces that travelled the world.

Woven Palm has never been about chasing trends.
It’s always been about making beautiful things slowly, with my own two hands.

Thank you for being here 🫶🏼, whether you’ve followed for ten minutes, ten days or ten years.

When I finished weaving my first pair of boots, I had one thought…

“Where tf am I going to wear these babies?”

I live in Noosa.
Most days I’m in bike shorts, an oversized tee or swimmers and barefoot if I can get away with it.

But maybe beautiful things don’t need an occasion.

Maybe THEY ARE the occasion?

So, I raided my wardrobe and tried them on with whatever I could find.

Now I’m curious…

It was built slowly, for women who value things that last.

The older I get, the less interested I am in owning more.

I’d rather own one beautiful thing that works with twenty outfits than twenty things that work with one.

Some weeks are spent weaving. Some sketching.
Some are spent making the same pair over and over until they finally feel right.

And this week looked a little bit like all of that.

A few more Maison Mules left the studio.
I revisited The Ethereal Platform (which I LOVED)
And somewhere in between, I remembered why I started making things in the first place.

Not because women need more, but because the right piece gets worn a hundred times.

I painted this scarf to be worn, not saved for “special.”

Around your neck, waist,
In your hair.
On your bag.
Tied around your wrist, whatever.

The more I wear it, the more I realise one beautiful accessory can change an entire outfit.

Maybe that’s why I’m always drawn to buying less…
and wearing it more.

A lot of makers are scared of being copied.

I understand why.

Every design carries hours of mistakes, frustration, experimentation and tiny decisions that no one ever sees.

But when someone messaged asking how I made this weave, I found myself filming a tutorial instead.

Maybe that’s naive.

Maybe one day someone will recreate it.

But I don’t think Woven Palm has ever been about a weave.

It’s about choosing to spend an afternoon in a little studio, trying something ten times until it feels right.

It’s about believing beautiful things are worth making slowly.

If my work inspires someone else to create with their own hands, I think that’s something worth celebrating.

There’s room for all of us.

I don’t compete with fast fashion.

I never have.

I make fewer pairs.
I make them slowly.
And I hope they become the pair you instinctively reach for every morning.

Buy once.
Wear often.
