There are faster ways to make a shoe.
This just isn’t one of them.

Each pair passes through my hands from the first cut of leather to the final stitch… cut, punched, woven, pulled, trimmed and finished here in my little Noosa shoe-dio.

It means I’ll never make hundreds at a time. And I’m quite happy with that.
Made slowly, because that’s the point.

Less, but better.

Usually when you order a pair of Woven Palms, I start making them for you.

Every now and then, though, there are a few finished pairs sitting on my studio shelves waiting for their person.

I’ve just gathered those together, along with The Palma & Cannage bags, silk scarves, hair claws & socks in “Ready to Ship” on the website.

No production time. Just already made, by hand, here in the studio.

We tend to see the finished thing.

The shoe. The photograph. The end result.

But long before that, there’s an idea. A sketch. A lot of figuring things out. And then, slowly, a pair of hands turns it into something you can wear.

Perhaps that’s the part of handmade I love most.

This is one side of one shoe.

The one side takes around an hour to weave by hand.

I squeezed most of that hour into 24 seconds because Instagram likes things fast…
